Client Management
• The Project Engineer is to keep records and update schedules to assist the project in keeping the client up to date with progress. Any direct contact with the client of their Consultants will be under the instruction from the Project Manager.
Design Management
• Once the concept design is established the Project Engineer has the responsibility to manage the detailed design. This will entail holding the final value engineering exercises, ensuring the brief and cost plan requirements are met and resolving any construction detailing and constructability issues.
• The Project Engineer must follow any internal company procedures concerning end quality, minimum building standards and details, and any company approved material selection.
Project Delivery
• The Project Engineer will be assigned a geographical area, a project contract or a trade group on the project.

Authority / Stakeholder Management

Planning and Programming
• The Project Engineer is responsible for the short and mid-range planning and programming functions of the project. Along with their foreman they will develop and monitor their 3-month look-ahead schedule and update it every 2-months.
• Develop and monitor the 2-week short range look-ahead schedule and update it weekly.
• The Project Engineer will give a status report on a regular basis and the programs should be monitored against the overall target program and any time issues managed to maximize the Company’s opportunity.
Company Management Systems – General Administration
• A Project Engineer will carry out the specific requirements of the Company’s management system. This will involve the areas of the HSE plan, the Quality plan, drawing controls, general filing and administration and all elements contained within the specific Project Business Plan.
